I think the fans will make a big difference... Will we sell out in mid July against teams we have never heard of? I hope so...
We will need to manage this v carefully, it's not like we don't know the potential of Thursday and Sunday games. The new manager may well run with 2 squads to begin with..Ie kids plus a few squad players in the Europa to begin with.
Also, iirc we did well early season in the league when we started early under Harry in the inter toto. Managed correctly, we could make a good start in the league next season...obviously the opposite happended under pardew when we nearly got relegated!

According to the BBC, Tottenham and Liverpool have already qualified for Europa Cup as will Southampton if Arsenal win the FA Cup.

It would appear as if we may finish top of the Fair Play league if the main deviations in point scoring are cards received, as we received the same or less cards than Liverpool and Everton yesterday, and if it was correct that we were top prior to yesterday then we are in, whether that is a good or a bad thing. The qualification games would just replace friendlies that would have been scheduled and are likely to be relatively easy games - the concern should be whether we can build a big enough squad to be able to cope during the season should we get through. Qualifying may make it easier to attract players as well. It has the potential to be either a complete nightmare or a brilliant thing for the club, so fingers crossed it is the latter.

The country table finished at the end of April - that determined which 3 countries would have their top fair play team qualify for the Europa. The ranking in each country lasts until the final match of the season.
After today we were 2 points ahead of Liverpool and 12 points ahead of next place Everton after bookings taken into account. They've just got to tot up the respect points and they vary by about a point a match between the top teams. 99.9% we've qualified.

Why do people keep saying we have qualified? We haven't. At most all we have a shot at is qualifying for the Europa league through some shitty qualification process. It's not guaranteed we will make it through that so we haven't qualified for anything.

I was certain the table finished at the end of April.
With Liverpool top.
The only uncertainty was if Liverpool were to finish in an already qualifying position then they would qualify via that position.
Now that Liverpool have done that we are the next best placed team in the Fair Play League in the Premiership.
We qualify.
